Three Oaks Center Opens Andre Rice Emergency Men’s Shelter In Lexington Park
The Three Oaks Center held a ribbon cutting on Monday, December 15 at 11:00 AM to officially reopen the newly renovated Andre Rice Emergency Men’s Shelter in Lexington Park. The public is invited to attend and help celebrate this important milestone for the community.
The renovation honors the legacy of Andre Rice, a dedicated advocate for individuals experiencing homelessness and a valued member of the local real estate community. His longtime involvement with the shelter and commitment to lifting up vulnerable residents made a lasting impact, and the updated facility reflects the mission he cared deeply about.
The enhanced space features improved living areas, updated safety measures, and upgrades designed to create a more comfortable and dignified environment for the men who rely on emergency housing. The project supports Three Oaks Center’s ongoing work to provide safe shelter, case management, and pathways toward stability for individuals experiencing homelessness in Southern Maryland.
The event will include an official ribbon cutting coordinated by the St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce, remarks from community leaders, and brief tours of the renovated shelter.
